I have an Acer 5736G running a version of Windows 7 Ultimate that i upgraded it to from the preloaded version of Vista that Acer put on there. I didn't really upgrade it, but i wiped my hard drive and put Win7 on there. So recently I have been having issues with mu computer randomly shutting off! My freind says it's because of the Bios not being compatible with Windows 7 and that its messed up cause i got rid of vista for windows 7. And i do agree that it seems a little like its been running slightly hotter, but maybe that just me noticing it. It never shut off when vista was on there. but i recently got fallout 3 and its shut down twice within that game from what i believe to be overheating. And i want to check what the Bios have in them and i want to know what i can change in them (if i can) to help this at all.
btw, i also downloaded speedfan, which doesn't really do anything for me. just tells me the temps really. it doesnt detect my fan, or any rpms, voltages, practically 85% of what should show up is not for me.
